More open feedback or maximum damping?

Vibration System Control

For players who want a cleaner, more connected string-bed feel without making the racket feel dead.

Universal selectively filters unwanted vibrations and reaches lower-frequency responses than classic string dampeners, enhancing the useful feedback you feel from the racket.

Multi-string tennis dampener

For players who want maximum string-bed damping, a quieter racket sound and a more muted impact feel.

VibraLive combines multi-string contact with patented metamaterial geometry to damp the string bed more deeply than a classic tennis dampener.

What do tennis vibration dampeners do?

A tennis vibration dampener changes sound, string buzz and impact feel after the ball leaves the strings.

Classic dampeners usually make the racket quieter and more muted, but not every player wants the same response.

Some players want maximum damping. Others want a cleaner, more readable feel.

That is why AMbelievable™ separates damping from vibration control.

Do tennis dampeners help with tennis elbow?

Not directly. Studies on classic string dampeners show a clear limit: they mainly affect medium-high frequency string vibrations, the ones linked to buzz and impact sound.

University testing shows that Universal works across a wider frequency range, including lower vibrations more readily felt by the hand and arm after impact.

However, there is no evidence that Universal treats inflammation or tennis elbow.

The test shows vibration control, not a medical effect.

How can a lighter system reach lower frequencies?

Traditional dampeners usually rely on soft material and added mass.

Universal uses a patented 3D-printed metamaterial lattice designed to mechanically interact with the string-bed response across a wider frequency range.

Every impact creates a vibration spectrum. We tune the frequencies that shape not just sound, but feel and racket feedback.

Metamaterial lattices interact with selected frequency ranges. Their geometry reshapes vibration instead of relying on added weight.

3D printing turns those geometries into precise, ultra-light structures. The technology becomes part of the racket response.

The same technology creates different responses. Universal sharpens feedback, while VibraLive delivers deeper string-bed damping.

Tennis dampeners: what to know before choosing one

Racket sound, string-bed feel, dampener materials, weight and balance, explained simply.

A tennis dampener changes how the string bed sounds, vibrates and feels after impact. Most classic tennis dampeners reduce string buzz and soften the impact sound. AMbelievable™ gives you two different options: VibraLive for maximum string-bed damping, and Universal for selective vibration control.

Yes, but not all in the same way. Classic tennis dampeners mainly affect sound and medium-high frequency string vibrations. VibraLive is designed to damp the string bed more deeply. Universal is a string-bed vibration control system designed to work across a wider frequency range and make racket feedback clearer.

The best tennis dampener depends on the feel you want.

Choose VibraLive if you want maximum damping, less string buzz and a quieter, more muted impact.

Choose Universal if you want a cleaner, more open and more readable racket response through selective vibration control.

Most tennis dampeners are placed in the lower part of the string bed, below the main hitting area.

VibraLive is installed across multiple strings to increase string-bed damping.

Universal uses a compact position on the string bed to control vibrations more selectively.

A button dampener is the most common option: small, simple and mainly used to reduce string sound.

A rubber band is a traditional DIY solution used by some players to change string-bed feel.

A multi-string tennis dampener like VibraLive works across several strings, creating deeper damping and a more muted response.

Universal sits on the string bed like a dampener, but it is not a classic tennis dampener.

It is a string-bed vibration control system. Its goal is not to mute everything, but to reshape vibrations selectively and make racket feedback clearer.

Yes. Materials and weight affect how a tennis dampener interacts with the string bed and how much it can influence racket feel.

Classic dampeners usually rely on silicone or rubber mass. AMbelievable™ uses patented 3D-printed metamaterial geometry to interact with vibrations while keeping the devices extremely light.

That helps reduce the impact on racket balance while still tuning sound, feel and vibration response.
